Killarney Camera club held a portrait photography workshop, organised by Adrian our PRO. Adrian provided the venue, the lighting and most importantly the model.
There was a great turn out and several club members had not done any portrait photography of this kind. Adrian guided us through different lighting techniques for this type of indoor photography. He had set up a mobile studio and everyone had the chance to take plenty of photos.
For some it took several attempts to get the ISO, white balance and shutter speed right, but we all got great shots in the end. I noticed that the more experienced members were helping those of us who were struggling with the settings. That’s what so great about attending the outings and events, learning first hand from others and getting some good photographs.
Thanks to Adrian and Aisling for your time and patience and to The Avenue Hotel for letting us use the space. It was a very worthwhile evening and we look forward to doing some more portrait photography very soon.
If you are not a member of Killarney camera club and you are interested in joining, then you can attend our open/members evening to find out more. This takes place on the 9th January at 7.30 pm and the location is the Heights Hotel, Killarney.
