Unfortunately, I couldn’t make the above tip this last Sunday – and sorry for the late posting of this, but I am happy that Mary could write a few words for us, over to you Mary …:

Hi all, Mary here – Seamus and Keith guided us as leaders of today’s trip, and even though we only had a small group— just Yvette, Iryna, John, Ade, and me— we were ready to take some great photographs!

Our first stop was the stunning Torc Waterfall. The waterfall was as majestic as ever, and we took plenty of pictures to capture its beauty – under guidance from Seamus and Keith we began our practice on slow shutter speed shots.

Next, we visited Galway’s Bridge. The conditions didn’t cooperate much—it was muddy, and the overhanging trees made it tricky to navigate, as a result, we didn’t stay too long! We then made our way to Derrycunnihy Falls, which was a wonderfully beautiful spot. The scene was ideal for photographs, and we all took plenty of shots.

We stopped at Muckross House Café for tea, coffee and a cake to warm up and wrap up our day. It was a great day out, and we all want to thank Seamus and Keith for leading us on such a wonderful day out! We appreciate everything you did— looking forward to our next outing!

So what’s up next?  I am going to lead an outing this Saturday, 22nd March, to Fota Wildlife Park. We’ll be meeting at the usual place but the start time and other details are still to be finalised.

We are still looking at dates for the following outing(s) that are planned. As soon as we’ve finalised things we’ll let you know.

  • April – Rossbeigh Beach

Any other ideas, please forward them to myself or Mary and we will try to sort some more outings out.

Just to keep you reminded, this year our annual exhibition will be in Killarney House and Gardens for 2 months so to celebrate this, our theme will be Killarney National Park – please bear this in mind when you are out and about taking your images. For those that are unsure of what is covered by the national park check out https://www.nationalparks.ie/killarney/.
