Our first competition of the 2024-2025 season had 24 entries. Thank you to everyone who took part in the Open Monochrome competition. Many congratulations to Maryann who came first in the Novice category and the Unrestricted category, with her wonderful image of the cliffs looking towards Dunmore Head from Coumeenoole beach, which is titled ‘Waiting for the rainbow’.

Here are the top three in each category.

Novice Category:

1st Place: Maryann Heidtke, Waiting for the rainbow,  194 points.

2nd Place: Elizabeth Browne, Blennerville Windmill,  177 points.

3rd Place: Eamon Fleming, Reflections,  169 points.

Unrestricted Category:

1st Place: Maryann Heidtke, Waiting for the rainbow,  194 points.

2nd Place: Julia Deady, An Searrach,   185 points.

3rd Place: Mícheál Ó Searcóid, Ibis,  181 points.
