Our club was formed in late 2001 as Photographic Society of Killarney and was renamed Killarney Camera Club in 2006. Our aims are:
- To promote and organise photographic activities for our members.
- To provide a forum for our members to pursue their photographic interests.
- To co-operate with other organisations in the promotion and organisation of photographic activities.
Our members come from a wide range of backgrounds but we all share a common hobby; the love and pursuit of photography. You can see some of our work on our flickr site.
Some of us have years of experience while more among us are beginners. Whichever category we belong to we continue to learn more about photography through sharing our knowledge and experience with our fellow members and through the activities in which we participate.
Among the events we organise are:
- Local outings for members, e.g. Killarney National Park, Dingle.
- Presentations by guest speakers such as well-known local photographers, experienced members from other photographic clubs or from amongst our own membership.
- Competitions amongst our members, each based on a different theme.
- Organising local exhibitions
- Attendance at events/presentations organised by other local photographic societies.
We are affiliated to the Irish Photographic Federation (IPF) and the Southern Association of Camera Clubs (SACC) and participate in competitions organised by these associations.
We meet every fortnight on Thursday night at 7.30pm, except during July and August. Most of our meetings are now online via Zoom or in person at the Park Suite in the Brehon Hotel Killarney. Meetings include guest speakers, competitions, and outdoor photoshoots.
Please take a look at our Facebook Page and Event Calendar for more details.
We welcome new members who share our passion for photography, regardless of the level of experience or knowledge. People are invited to attend up to 2 meetings free
of charge before deciding on whether they want to become members.
Our current committee is:
Chairperson: Yvette Shea
Treasurer: Julia Deady
Secretary: Tanja Fischer
Officers: Deirdre Donohue and Mary O’Sullivan
Contact Killarney Camera Club Secretary with any queries you may have about our club or check us out on Facebook or on our flickr site.

To whom it may concern:
In my search to help my son find a photographer in Killarney for one/two hours on 23rd May, 2020 in Killarney, I have been looking through your site and am blown away by the beautiful photographs. Amazing!
I would really appreciate your help in identifying someone who might do some photos before John’s wedding please. He is really keen not to have the more traditional photography approach so any advice, suggestions of someone in Killarney area would be really appreciated. He just wants some photos of family and friend before the Civic ceremony.
Thank you very much.
Ger
